Rumours gotten from the streets that Gov. Rotimi Ameachi would have to port to another party if he has to contest the 2015 election following he's suspension from the PDP and his current crisis with his party.
Here is a statement from his spokesman David Iyofor.
The Spokesman to Governor Amaechi, David
Iyofor has dismissed claims that Governor
Amaechi has plans to leave the PDP for the ACN.
Iyofor described statements made by the ACN
spokesman Jerry Needam as outright lies and a
figment of Needam's imagination. Iyofor said it is
not true that Governor Amaechi has approached
the ACN about joining their party.
He accused
Needam of working with the Felix Obuah faction
of the PDP against the interests of the ACN.
David Iyofor said Amaechi is in court to secure his
place in the PDP and has no intention of leaving
the ruling party.
